Intensive French Homework (mes devoirs)
Due to the fact that the most of the Intensive French program is oral based there is rarely any homework related to French. Students read specific books throughout the program and these books will be sent home for reading each evening. This reading is very important as it provides an opportunity for students to see the words several times, to practice the French language and by using the MP3 files on this website they can hear the books being read and follow along to improve their speaking skills. See the Recordings on the Mes Devoirs tab above.
Mes devoirs pour la semaine
“RAH RAH” stands for Read at Home. In Grade 5 students are expected to do 20 minutes of independent reading at home per day.
Your child doesn’t necessarily have to read aloud to you and may do it silently if they choose. They can read anything! It could be a picture book, a novel, a magazine, the newspaper or a recipe book. This will be part of your child’s homework.
